Reflecting the ambience of the Anglo-Indian traditions, this
country manor was built by Justice Sir Jai Lal at the turn of the
century. Spread over ten acres of irchards, the hotel offers a
magnificent view of the snow peaks. Located near the ornamental
village tank, and approached by a cobbled street, this courtyard
haven captures its original bygone era. Pragpur is also the first
notified heritage village in India.
Kangra, one of the most panoramic areas in Himachal Pradesh, is
replete with history and is the home to the famous Kandgra School
of paintings. A lesser known fact is that probably the world's -
most certainly India's oldest ruling lineage also comes from
Kangra. Pragpur with its small population is located at an
elevation of about 1800 ft in the Kangra Valley. It nestles below
the majestic Dhauladhars - The White Ranges.
