Day by day itinerary:
Day 1: Delhi-Shimla. (380 Kms/09 Hrs)
arriving at Delhi railway station/airport, our tour guide will pick you up and
take to Shimla, your preferred tour destination. Himachal Pradesh is the
capital state of Shimla and it is situated in the north-western part of Himalayas.
Shimla is widely known as the “Queen of
Hill Stations” (term first coined by British). Shimla is blessed with every
attractions of the nature that one can ever think of. It is one particular spot
in India which is nestled in the forests of pine, oak, rhododendron and you can
definitely experience the pleasant weathers with modest summers, cold and snowy
winters. Travel, tourism and hotel are the major revenue generating industries
of Shimla. The town still retain its colonial aura with the presence of
ancient, grand and old buildings. You can visit the popular Pinjore garden during the stop for
lunch along the way. As per the Hindu mythology, it is believed that Pandavas brothers
had spent their time over here when they were exiled. On arriving to Shimla,
you will be taken to the prebooked hotel, where you can have your dinner and
Day 2: Shimla-Naldehra sightseen:
the morning after refreshment, you can take your breakfast and at 8.00 am you
will be departed to discover the exhilarating beauty of Shimla. You can visit Naldehra, a popular nine hole golf
course that was designed during the British rule and it was also found that
Lord Curzon who got extremely enchanted by the place that he named his daughter
Alexandra with Naldehra as her another name. It is where the ancient Nag temple
located. You will also be visiting Mashobra on the way, which is surrounded by dense forests where you can have ideal walk.
The Goddess Durga temple located there is the worth sightseeing spot. You can
also visit the most popular Indian
Institute of Advanced Studies, Botanical Gardens & Viceregal Lodge, Jakhoo
temple. This temple, which is devoted to Lord Hanuman is situated at a
great height of 8048 ft above sea level, which is the highest ever point of
Shimla. St. Michael’s cathedral and Christ Church are the familiar landmarks of
Shimla that was built for over a time period of eleven years (1846 to 1857) and
it is also the second ancient church across Northern India. At evening times,
you will be free for discovering The Ridge, the most familiar and wide open
space in the central part of town that will present you with a greatest view of
the mountains. The mall centre of Shimla that runs along this ridge is always
crowded with the visits of tourists. It is also the city, which is known for
shopping centres and hence, you can shop for any items including clothes and
junk foods. In the late evening, you will be driven back to hotel to have a
night stay at the hotel.
Day 3: Shimla-Manali (280 Kms/9 Hrs)
after refreshment and breakfast, at 8.00 am, you will be driving to Manali, an
important hill station as well as famous tourist spot of India. Manali bestows more
in terms of natural appeals like the panoramic view of the flower garden, snow
capped mountains and orchards with red and green apples etc. You will also be
visiting Pandoh dam on the way. This
dam has seen its completion during the year 1977 and its major purpose is the
generation of hydroelectric power. Hanogi
Mata Temple, a prevalent temple attraction which is devoted to Hango Mata
is visited by massive amount of devotees throughout the year. Having located
top above a small peak, these green mountains remain as a backdrop for temple
and it is gleaming stream that flows below forms the stunning attraction for
the temple. Vaishno Devi Temple in
Kullu is as well a popular temple which is devoted to Hindu Goddess Vaishno
Devi. After arriving to Manali, you will be checked in to the prebooked hotel
to have a dinner and night stay.
Day 4:Manali sightseen:
getting refreshment in the morning followed by Breakfast, the drive will start
to visit the exotic Manali sightseeing spots. You will be taken to Hadimba Temple, where you can visit the
ancient cave temple that is devoted to Hadimba devi, sister of Hadimb and also
a popular character of Mahabharata. The Goddess Hadimba, who is the sister of
the evil spirit Hadimb ruled the mountains and feared all. Manu Temple, one of the prominent temples that is deemed to be the
only temple in India for Manu, is situated 3 km away from the main bazaat in
the old Manali. Manu is regarded as the creator of human race in the earth and
the temple is also believed to be the home for Manu. Vashist springs and temple in a little hamlet located on the banks
of river Beas is a popular spot which turns towards Rohtang. It is the known
well for its temples and hot sulphur springs. Having a dip at this river is
regarded as sacred for many. Closer to this location is the pyramidal stone
temple dedicated to Vashist Manu, who is a sacred sage. Nehru Kund is an exotic natural spring in the spot and it is
situated at a distance of 6km away from Manali, which has got its name after the
late Prime Minister Jwaharlal Nehru. Kund has got the name of Nehru, since he
used to have water from it, during his visit to Manali. The Manali Gompa that serves as a significant gathering location
for Buddhists from Ladakh, Kinnaur, Spiti, Lahaul, Tibet and Nepal. Built
during 1960s, this monastery is popular for its Chortens, large statue of Lord
Buddha and wall paintings. Van Vihar is
a municipal garden which is located on Mall road in front of Tibetan market.
Visitors can enjoy boating in the lake that is located inside the park and the
park is also adorned with large deodar trees. In the evening, you can take
strolling in the mall road and shopping in the local market. You can drive back
to hotel in the late evening to have dinner as well as night stay in the hotel.
Day 5: Manali
– Rohtang Pass – Manali. (51Kms/3 ½ Hrs).
Morning after refreshment and breakfast, you need to
get ready the sooner possible to leave for Rohtang pass. Now, you will be
provided with separate vehicle to depart from Manali as no permit is available
for outside vehicle to reach Rohtang pass. On the way to Rohtang pass, you will
be visiting Kothi, the first village to be located on the banks of Beas
River. Gulaba, which is regarded as the picnic spot, is an entry point
to brighu lake trekking. This spot is very pleasant and calm and filled with
wonderful flowers. Rehala Falls, a popular water fall flows from one of
the important branches of Bead River. The altitude of this water fall is nearly
around 50 metres. Marhi is also a popular place which as familiar as
Rohtang pass. It is completely covered with snow and you can find all sorts of
water sports here. If Rohtang pass is closed because of severe weather
conditions, the visitors will be permitted to reach till this place. Solang
Valley, a great picturesque setting is a good ski slope picnic destination,
which has glacier located closer to Manali. You can enjoy several adventure
sports including paragliding, parachuting and Zorbing at Rohtang pas and solang
valley. Evening you will drive back to hotel to have dinner and night stay.
Day 6: Manali-Chandigarh. (330 Kms/10Hrs)
getting refreshment and breakfast in the morning, checkout from hotel and
depart to Chandigarh, a union territory as well as a prominent city in India
which regards as a capital two important states Punjab and Haryana. The term
Chandigarh can be translated as the “the fort of Chandi”. This name is derived
from the name of ancient temple, called Chandi Mandir, dedicated to Hindu
Goddess Chandi. It is also considered as the city beautiful as it has central
grid of gardens, wonderful gardens, each devoted to various species of Flora.
After arriving at a Chandigarh, check in to the hotel to have night stay.
Day 7: Chandigarh-Delhi. (260 Kms/5Hrs):
after refreshment and breakfast, checkout from hotel to drive to discover diverse
destinations of Chandigarh, making first visit to Rock Garden, an epitome of innovation and creativity. It is an
ideal garden which consists of different art objects. The most highlighted part
about Rock Garden is that all its artworks were made using urban and industrial
waste. Sukhna Lake is an amazing
lake, which lies at the foothills of Shivalik range. The ideal thing about
Sukhna lake is that it a artificial lake, which serve as a great picnic
destination and also a place for enjoying water sport activities such as
yachting, boating and water skiing. Followed by a visit to this place, you will
be leaving to Delhi. After arriving at Delhi, you will be dropped in the
railway station/airport to train/board your flight for further journey.
